CITY OVERVIEW
Monza is a city and comune on the River Lambro, a tributary of the Po in the Lombardy region of Italy, about 15 kilometres north-northeast of Milan. It is the capital of the Province of Monza and Brianza
The Autodromo Nazionale Monza is a race track located near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. Built in 1922, it is the world's third purpose-built motor racing circuit after those of Brooklands and Indianapolis.
The Royal Villa (Italian: Villa Reale) is a historical building in Monza, northern Italy. It lies on the banks of the Lambro, surrounded by the large Monza Park, one of the largest enclosed parks in Europe. It was originally built by Giuseppe Piermarini between 1777[1] and 1780, when Lombardy was part of Austrian Empire, for the Archduke Ferdinand of Austria. Following the establishment of the Napoleonic Kingdom of Italy, the building was used as a Royal Palace and became home to the Viceroy of Italy, Eugène de Beauharnais. With the fall of the First Empire (1815), Austria annexed the Italian territories to the Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia, Monza being included in the province of Milan.
Milan: the name conjures up visions of some of the world’s greatest designers and fashion houses, and with good reason. The city is a leading fashion capital of the world, having given rise to familiar names such as Armani, Versace, Gucci and Prada. However, there is much more to Milan than fashion, and Elite Limousines is happy to help visitors discover the city’s myriad other delights with the provision of our exemplary chauffeur services. Looking beyond the city’s stylish veil, visitors will discover historical sites of great repute, such as the La Scala opera house, the Duomo Gothic cathedral and the Santa Maria delle Grazie church that houses da Vinci’s famed mural – The Last Supper. Milan also serves as Italy’s economic and financial centre, and is the heart of the Italian banking industry. The city’s football clubs – Inter-Milan and AC Milan – are two of the most famous teams in the global football scene.
